tara + lee's sde // when the music kicks up

By September 12, 2011News

continuing on from tara+lee’s portrait film … this sde was played at their reception after all the formalities were out of the way.

the day started off early with a 6am start .. and ended with a bang with this sde. tara+lee’s wedding was more than what we expected … in a good way … lots of energy, emotion, tradition and new experiences for both us and lee. the baraat was by far my favourite part of the day … it was amazing to be in the thick of it all and feel the energy from everyone around us.

it was so great to be a witness to the mixing of cultures and i love how though the sde has a different feel to their portrait film, it still shows tara+lee’s personalities and how cute they are together.

this soundtrack by the drexler ‘the steady coolness’. licensed through withetiquette.com.

quick Q: at 1:01 The reasoning behind this framing, where you only show motion in a small part of the frame, can you share the WHY behind this shot selection?

I’m guessing its to draw the eye to that content subject, as a full frame of motion can sometimes be overpowering to one’s eye with what to look at.

    thanks

I never, EVER see another camera op in any of your shots for SDEs or other wedding movies, especially bride entrances (where it seems like it would be bound to happen), which is so cool. Does that take a lot of planning or is it sort of second nature for you guys to know where the other shooters are and stay out of their shots?
